Mos Def: The Ecstatic

I used to love hip hop, but since the Lil Wayne Revolution hit popular hip hop, and everyone from Kanye West to the Black Eyed Peas have used that ridiculous effect - what is it called, auto tone? auto tune? Well it sounds like auto-shit, and I have been turned off the hip hop world for now.

BUT...when you hear stuff like Mos Def's new album, "The Ecstatic," you remember what hip hop was originally about - it is experimental, raw, adventurous. Long live hip hop - and long live Mos Def!
