Harvey Danger - Little Round Mirrors

Yeah, that Harvey Danger.

Little By Little is probably my single favorite album of recent memory. It was released in 2005. Song after song, it just rocks. Highly recommended are "Wine, Women and Song", and "Cool James".

It's available for free download here. Even though it's free, I tossed them ten bucks. It's that good.

Enjoy, seedies.

  1. First off, and apologies if this is a tad esoteric: up yours.
    I liked that Harvey Danger.

You can't go rattling-off words as weighty and allusive as "that" with impunity.

Maybe if your song had been from some previously horrible 80's band, and you had written "Yeah, that Wang Chung", I would understand.

Except Wang Chung happens to be awesome too. I mean, come on man!

"Everbody Have Fun (Wang Chung) Tonight"? ... Genius wordplay.

"Let's Go"? ... Where? Because I'm on board!

"Dance Hall Days"? ... More like "Dance Hall Years", because that's how long we'll be dancing to that awesome track.

So take your "that" and shove it. Me and Wang Harvey Chung Danger don't need you.

    ...

On an unrelated note, I had always hoped that "Moral Centralia" was about my parents hometown of Centralia, IL. But appears to be about the halfway point between Seattle and Portland - Centralia WA. Bummer.

  2. Oh Seedy Overlord,

I didn't mean 'that' in the pejoritive sense of 'that'. I meant 'that' as in, 'those guys who were once überawesome but from whom you have not heard a peep in eight years'.

    So screw ewe, Immoral Centralia-boy.

And Wang Chung is the shit.

  3. Faux rant aside - this song is great. There is something about his voice - like it's always just about to break (esp. Jack the Lion) - that gets to me.
