Timely Convo ~ All Good Funk Alliance

This is the good funk.

Timely Convo is a bit out of date (Social Comment was released in 2006), but it's new to me and it's prolly new to you, too. The All Good Funk Alliance succeeds handily where other bands (notably the Brand New Heavies "heavy rhyme" hip-hop experiment of the mid 1990s*) failed succeeded less measurably. The AGFA vocals are fast and slick and the music will make your head move.

I had a hard time picking one track, but Timely Convo, Point and Now Lately are the stand-out tracks.

* well, maybe the Pharcyde song on the Brand New Heavies CD wasn't terrible
