Floating Vibes :: Surfer Blood

Bet you thought I was gonna post "Swim". Would of - as that was my first exposure, too - but the purchase of the entire (solid) album has tipped the scales towards "Floating Vibes".

If a band name like "Surfer Blood" and song titles like "Swim" and "Floating Vibes" haven't tipped you off to the surf-rock sound of this West Palm Beach band, then maybe this will:

It's surf rock.

And it's good, heady, washed-out surf-rock at that. Reverb, twang, distortion. All there. And hey, if you like "Swim" better, go jump of a pier.
